Vicky Fortier’s Blog Candy giveaway for having 600 followers.

I just wanted to let my friends know about Vicky Fortier’s Blog Candy giveaway for having 600 followers. I did blog this on my “KristyLee’s World Blog” but wanted to blog her for my friends on the Dark side who may not be following that blog.

Please visit her blog HERE! For all of the details. Vicky is giving away several prizes and some digi companies have stepped in to lend a hand in the prize give away also!

Here are the digi companies:

and now here are the prizes that Vicky herself is giving away:

Here is one of the things Vicky has said in her post:

All that I ask is that you are a Google friend connect follower (so your little picture is with the other ones on my right side hand bar).  You have to be part of the 600 + followers… that’s my only condition.  And I don’t count the bloglovin or e-mail followers because I have no way to track who you are… sorry…

Now I wont tell you everything, you must go to her blog and check it out for your self.

NO you don’t have to make a blog post. I just wanted to, so I could get the word out for her, she is a super sweet lady and a wonderful artist. Good luck to all!

Tomorrow is Monday here in the US, I do wish for all of you all a Blessed week full of life, love, and crafting!

Peace,

KristyLee

Challenge #41 Inspired by a Song with A Day for Daisies!

Good morning Friends,

Here’s a brand new challenge for you this week, and one you might have to think about; but that’s what a challenge is right?  Over at the Left of Center Creative Challenges we are bringing you the fabulous sponsor “A Day for Daisies.”

ADFD

The theme is “Inspired by a Song,” think about maybe a specific song, or perhaps just music in general. Please let us know which song you chose by mentioning it in your post. Or, if you’d rather, you can enter a “LOC Alternative” art project instead of the theme! Something Dark or Goth.

I have chosen the song title “Mr Roboto” by the “Styx” here is the youTube link to watch the video: click here!

Here is my DT card:

kristy

I was provided with digi stamp “Bot Four” by ADFD. I have colored it with Copics.

I glued a piece of tin foil over card stock then used the Tim Holtz embossing folder. I then made a wash using water and black acrylic paint, and wiped it over the embossed piece.

The Japanese script I retrieved from the internet. For my sentiment I downloaded a free font called “Japanese Tourist.” As as you all probable well know that Domo Arigato is Thank you in Japanese. I used some sliver metal brads (JoAnn’s brand.)

I do plan on using this as a thank you card, I think it would be very cute to say thank you with this card.

I hope you get a chance to play along and, perhaps win some digi stamps from “A Day for Daisies.”

Click on the LOC logo to link up your project and to check out the other DT’s fabulous projects for more inspiration!

Haunted Design House, A Step In the Dark, Smeared Ink’s rubber!

Good evening Friends,

I have made a Birthday card for my daughter’s uncle. He is turning 25 and likes stuff like “Fangora” etc… So I am pretty sure he will like this Birthday card. I did keep it subdued from my normal craziness. If you have ever followed my blog during one of Smeared and Smudge’s “31 Days of Halloween” I can get freaky LOL!

I was inspired by two challenge blogs for this card the first one is “Haunted Design House.” The inspiration there is a photo:

HDH inspThe second place I drew inspiration is from  “A Step In the Dark.” Their challenge #5 is “Dark Fantasy or AG.” At both challenge blogs the DTs have done some amazing things, do yourself a wee favor of delight and go visit these blogs!!

Now for my card:

Codys-bday-on-the-Fringe-SI

I have used Smeared Ink’s rubber stamp set called “Fringe.” This set can only be acquired by being a member of the SI Rubber Club.

I stamped the stamp with black Memento then used Copics to color it in. I used N’s, C’s, and T’s for the grays. The sentiment is part of the set and was stamped in black also.

The arrows are stickers from Tim Holtz. I used a Spellbinder die cut, then I sponged Silver ink by ColorBox on the edges of the cut out. The DSP is last year’s Halloween/Fall DCWV paper pack.

I am also entering this card into the Smeared and Smudged anything goes challenge on their nig site.

Thank you for stopping by, and thank you for your comments. Stay Crafty my Friends!

Peace,

KristyLee

“SAVE THE FLOWER POT PRETTIES (Contest)” On Lacy Sunshine’s Facebook (Card)

Good afternoon Friends,

On my KristyLee’s World blog I posted a colored digi from Lacy Sunshine stamps. Click here to see the post. Heather Valentin, artist and owner of Lacy Sunshine stamps is doing a FB contest, she first wanted just the Flower Pot Pretties colored and posted then something made with it posted. I have created a Halloween card, yes it’s right around the corner, so I figured I would get a jump on it. Since I do like Halloween :)  I decided to post the finished card here because I know not everyone that follows this blog follows my KristyLee’s World blog, and I thought I would give all my friends the heads up on this challenge. I like to share cool things! :)

So here is my card created with the colored image:

halloween-LSC-flower-pot-pr

This image is called “Fangletta” this and all of the other Flower Pot Pretties can be found in the Lacy Sunshine Shop.

I have colored with Copics. I used a white gel pen from SU for the bats and the girls eyes.

The DSP is last years Halloween/Fall paper pack. I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities Decorative Elements called “Decorative Labels Twenty-Eight.” 3D cat and spider stickers are from last years stash. The black bat punch outs are made using the “Bat Punch” from Stampin’ Up! with SU’s Black CS. Purple CS from stash.

The ticket was make using the SU “Ticket Punch” and the stamp set called “That’s the Ticket.”

The inside:

halloween-LSC-inside

I cut a piece of white CS with the SU die cut called “Top Note.” Then senti is a rubber stamp that I have had since I was 13. Yep it’s an antique LOL!! I can’t read the name of the company on it.

For the Facebook Fan page go here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/LacySunshine/

When you go to the FB Page, Heather has written a really cute short story on why the Flower Pot Pretties need saving. So go check it out and have some fun. Heather even offered a Freebie of one of the super cute Flower Pot Pretties but please don’t share it or post it anywhere w/o a watermark. Angel policy does apply. :)
