Challenge #53 – Celebrate/Fireworks with SLS Lines

Good morning Friends,

I have another DT project to share with you for “LOC” Left of Center Creative Challenges! (Follow the link to see more DT projects and link up your Art project.)

Our sponsor this week is “SLS”  (Follow the link to their store or click their badge.)

They do challenges also here is the LINK for their challenge! SLS has a Facebook page that I am sure they would really like if you visited!

Here is my DT card:

I was provided with the SLS digital stamp called “Kitten Party.” (Follow the link to this stamp, to get yours.)

I colored them with Copics. The cat on the right I was trying to make him look like a “Hairless cat” You cant see it in the photo, but I colored over the Copic ink with a glitter gel pen on top of the 2 party hats, the circles on the collars, the band on the hat for the cat in the low center: his party blower,  and the glasses.

The card base is “Cocoa Powder” card stock the sentiment cut out, and the banner is “Oatmeal Cookie” card stock from Fun Stampers Journey. The banner die cut is a Fun Stampers Journey product, so are the 2 different stamps on it. The 3 different patterned papers in the back ground are from DCWV. Ribbon from SU.

I popped up the sentiment and the 3 cats with pop dots. The sentiment was cut out using a Spellbinders die cut.

There ya have it, some inspiration for Celebration/ Fireworks, or you can always do a LOC which means anything DARK! :)

CLICK ME! To link up to our challenge blog, and please come on over to our Facebook page and post your project there too, and chat with us all!

Thank you for your visit, and for your comments! Stay crafty my Friends!

DT Altered frame project for LOC’s November’s Facebook challenge “Halloween.”

Good morning Friends,

I have a altered frame project for LOC’s November’s Facebook challenge “Halloween.”

Our sponsor for the Month of November is “Spellbinding Stamps.”

PictureHere is what I came up with:

November-FB-challengeI chose “Angelique” (Follow the link to get yours.) I colored my image with Copics.

I used Journey Glaze and  Journey Sparkle Dust on the wings and moon.

Most of my bits on here I made from clay molds. There are 2 metal charm crosses, from Micheal’s. The blue piece under the brain clay piece I got from Creepy Glowbugg, is metal. The graveyard seen I received from Eternal Princess. It was cut out of chip board and ran through her Zyron. So I added to different types of glitter to it. I used crafter’s paste, placed my bits, then once dried I painted it with black Gesso. Once dry I used metallic Rubz to add color back to it. This is what they look like:

metalic rubz

I did take close up photos of the frame but, I’m not going to bore you all w/ them. You can see all of the bits in this one photo.

So you do have all month to come out and play with “Left of Center Creative Challenges” on Facebook. Please stop by and see what the other DT’s have created for your viewing pleasure! CLICK HERE! That link should take you to our Facebook page, you must already be signed into FB.

I hope you like by project today, thank you for stopping by and for your comments! Stay Crafty my Friends!

Good morning Friends,

Today starts lots of new things, one of these new things is our very first “Facebook challenge” for “Left of Center Creative challenges!”

We even have a sponsor! Whoo Hoo! Who don’t like  a chance at winning some digis?

The sponsor is “SLS Lines” (Follow the link or click their logo.)

Here is my DT card:

I was provide with this digi stamp called “Sad Teddy Bear.” (Follow the link to get yours, or click the image.)

Digital stamp Teddy Bear, sad teddy bear Low Brow Art, instant download digistamp

I first colored the digital image with Copics. Then I added some Flocking to him. All flocking powders came from Sparkle N Sprinkle!

On his inner ears, and foot pads I used “Pink Spirit.”

Pink Spirit Sparkle N Soft

For the bear’s body I mixed 3 colors of Flocking together.

I used the following:

Amber Wheat Flocking Amber Wheat

Buff Flocking Buff

Dark Chocolate Flocking Dark Chocolate

As you can see I didn’t have the right color, it was too dark or too light. So I combined, and I do like how it turned out. And he is soft and fuzzy to the touch. :)

Don’t you just love that pierced die cut he is on? I used FSJ’s Black Licorice card stock with thin die cuts called “Journey Rectangles.” “Item #: DI-0041″ It will make the piercing for you. I love it, I can get that look w/o wasting time.

The creepy cool DSP is from “Fun Stampers Journey.” It’s new and it’s called “Zombies Nights.” “Item #: PP-0006

I also used Black Journey Twine:

For the inside I used SU’s Bigz Die “Top Note.” This NEW stamp set is from “Fun Stampers Journey” called “Zombies Attack.” “Item #: SS-0135

Thank you for stopping by today and thank you for your comments!

Here are the digi companies:

and now here are the prizes that Vicky herself is giving away:

Here is one of the things Vicky has said in her post:

All that I ask is that you are a Google friend connect follower (so your little picture is with the other ones on my right side hand bar).  You have to be part of the 600 + followers… that’s my only condition.  And I don’t count the bloglovin or e-mail followers because I have no way to track who you are… sorry…

Now I wont tell you everything, you must go to her blog and check it out for your self.

NO you don’t have to make a blog post. I just wanted to, so I could get the word out for her, she is a super sweet lady and a wonderful artist. Good luck to all!

Tomorrow is Monday here in the US, I do wish for all of you all a Blessed week full of life, love, and crafting!

Challenge #41 Inspired by a Song with A Day for Daisies!

Good morning Friends,

Here’s a brand new challenge for you this week, and one you might have to think about; but that’s what a challenge is right?  Over at the Left of Center Creative Challenges we are bringing you the fabulous sponsor “A Day for Daisies.”

The theme is “Inspired by a Song,” think about maybe a specific song, or perhaps just music in general. Please let us know which song you chose by mentioning it in your post. Or, if you’d rather, you can enter a “LOC Alternative” art project instead of the theme! Something Dark or Goth.

I have chosen the song title “Mr Roboto” by the “Styx” here is the youTube link to watch the video: click here!

Here is my DT card:

I was provided with digi stamp “Bot Four” by ADFD. I have colored it with Copics.

I glued a piece of tin foil over card stock then used the Tim Holtz embossing folder. I then made a wash using water and black acrylic paint, and wiped it over the embossed piece.

The Japanese script I retrieved from the internet. For my sentiment I downloaded a free font called “Japanese Tourist.” As as you all probable well know that Domo Arigato is Thank you in Japanese. I used some sliver metal brads (JoAnn’s brand.)

I do plan on using this as a thank you card, I think it would be very cute to say thank you with this card.

I hope you get a chance to play along and, perhaps win some digi stamps from “A Day for Daisies.”

Click on the LOC logo to link up your project and to check out the other DT’s fabulous projects for more inspiration!
