LOC Challenge #37 Monochromatic with Just Some Lines!

Good morning Friends,

The new challenge is up at “Left of Center Creative Challenges.” The theme this go round is “Monochromatic.” The sponsor is “Just Some Lines.”

Here is my DT card using “Eater”

eater-mono-JSLI was provided with a digi stamp called “Eater,” by Just Some Lines.

My monochromatic colors are purples. Except for the red on the heart and on the spider. I colored the image with Copics. Both of those areas were glittered with “Sparkle N Sprinkles” loose glitter called “Cerise”

For the spiders I painted on glue stamped it then added loose velvet glitter called, “Pixie Violet.”

Pixie Violet Velvet Glitter (microfine)

The cardstock is Wisteria Wonder, I stamped the spider webs in Wisteria Wonder ink. Them image is on a Spellbinder die cut out, then sponged with Wisteria Wonder ink.

The swirls were cut using a bigz die by Tim Holtz, and Sizzix. I then added glitter glue to the swirls. Added dots of the glitter glue to the Spellbinders’ cut out.

This is the inside of the card, I stamped the spider webs with Wisteria Wonder ink.

The web stamp and the spider stamp are from Micheal’s $1.50 bin last year at Halloween.

I hope you join us at “Left of Center Creative Challenges.” And also hope you hop on over there and check out the other DTs creations, you will get some great inspirations!

Thanks for your visit and for your comments! Stay Crafty my Friends!

Blue Lightning “Blue lightning”   This is on the coat, and earrings.

Sparkling Snow “Sparkling Snow” This is on the edges of the coat.

Twinkling Clouds “Sparkle N Soft- Twinkling Clouds” (This  is sparkly flocking powder.) This I added to the hand muff.

I colored my image with Copics. Then added the glitters with brushable glue, also from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

SNS Brushable Glue

For more added sparkle I used Silver glitter paper from Stampin’ Up! The senti in the center of the snowflake is from SU also. I made the flowers using a SU punch and retired SU Christmas DSP. I used a I distressed the edges of the flowers and mushed them a bit. I added shiny big brads in the center that I received from Black Dragon. Then added gold craft wire.

I have used card stock from Fun Stampers Journey. I used a Spellbinder Nestabilities for the back ground.

Sparkle-ch-insideThis is the inside of my card. I like to decorate the insides when possible. I used a retired SU Christmas stamp set.

Haunted Design House, A Step In the Dark, Smeared Ink’s rubber!

Good evening Friends,

I have made a Birthday card for my daughter’s uncle. He is turning 25 and likes stuff like “Fangora” etc… So I am pretty sure he will like this Birthday card. I did keep it subdued from my normal craziness. If you have ever followed my blog during one of Smeared and Smudge’s “31 Days of Halloween” I can get freaky LOL!

I was inspired by two challenge blogs for this card the first one is “Haunted Design House.” The inspiration there is a photo:

HDH inspThe second place I drew inspiration is from  “A Step In the Dark.” Their challenge #5 is “Dark Fantasy or AG.” At both challenge blogs the DTs have done some amazing things, do yourself a wee favor of delight and go visit these blogs!!

Now for my card:

I have used Smeared Ink’s rubber stamp set called “Fringe.” This set can only be acquired by being a member of the SI Rubber Club.

I stamped the stamp with black Memento then used Copics to color it in. I used N’s, C’s, and T’s for the grays. The sentiment is part of the set and was stamped in black also.

The arrows are stickers from Tim Holtz. I used a Spellbinder die cut, then I sponged Silver ink by ColorBox on the edges of the cut out. The DSP is last year’s Halloween/Fall DCWV paper pack.

I am also entering this card into the Smeared and Smudged anything goes challenge on their nig site.

Thank you for stopping by, and thank you for your comments. Stay Crafty my Friends!

“SAVE THE FLOWER POT PRETTIES (Contest)” On Lacy Sunshine’s Facebook (Card)

Good afternoon Friends,

On my KristyLee’s World blog I posted a colored digi from Lacy Sunshine stamps. Click here to see the post. Heather Valentin, artist and owner of Lacy Sunshine stamps is doing a FB contest, she first wanted just the Flower Pot Pretties colored and posted then something made with it posted. I have created a Halloween card, yes it’s right around the corner, so I figured I would get a jump on it. Since I do like Halloween :)  I decided to post the finished card here because I know not everyone that follows this blog follows my KristyLee’s World blog, and I thought I would give all my friends the heads up on this challenge. I like to share cool things! :)

So here is my card created with the colored image:

This image is called “Fangletta” this and all of the other Flower Pot Pretties can be found in the Lacy Sunshine Shop.

I have colored with Copics. I used a white gel pen from SU for the bats and the girls eyes.

The DSP is last years Halloween/Fall paper pack. I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities Decorative Elements called “Decorative Labels Twenty-Eight.” 3D cat and spider stickers are from last years stash. The black bat punch outs are made using the “Bat Punch” from Stampin’ Up! with SU’s Black CS. Purple CS from stash.

The ticket was make using the SU “Ticket Punch” and the stamp set called “That’s the Ticket.”

The inside:

I cut a piece of white CS with the SU die cut called “Top Note.” Then senti is a rubber stamp that I have had since I was 13. Yep it’s an antique LOL!! I can’t read the name of the company on it.

For the Facebook Fan page go here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/LacySunshine/

When you go to the FB Page, Heather has written a really cute short story on why the Flower Pot Pretties need saving. So go check it out and have some fun. Heather even offered a Freebie of one of the super cute Flower Pot Pretties but please don’t share it or post it anywhere w/o a watermark. Angel policy does apply. :)

Thanks for popping in to check out my Flower Pot Pretties, let me know what you think. Stay Crafty my Friends!

Good morning Friends,

I have made another card for our current Ike’s World Challenges challenge #17, the theme is a Photo Colour challenge.

Here are the colors:

Like I said in my last post, Ike offers Freebies on the challenge blog, she is super sweet to do this. Because it allows everyone to play in the challenges. Because an Ike’s Art image must be used for the challenges. (Please visit my post under this one.) Well I have used Ike’s freebie for this card:

Colorchallenge-freebieFRONTIsn’t she cute!! She is called “Kati’s Frock” You can hop on over to the challenge blog to pick up yours, NO SHARING! After the challenge is over she will be back in the shop, so if you miss it dont forget to visit Ike’s Art!

I colored her with Copics and Stampin’ Up’s! markers, then fussy cut her out and added her to a Spellbinders. Added that on top of another Spellbinders die cut. The flowers I colored with Stampin’ Up’s! markers then stamped and punched them out. This is a “Bundle set” from Stampin’ Up! called “Petite Petals” #134822

Petite Petals Clear BundleThe sentiment on the from is from “Hero Arts” the die cut is from Stampin’ Up! All card stock is SU. The rhinestones on the flowers are from SU the rhinestones at the bottom is from Recollections. The glitter is from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Colorchallenge-freebie-insiI like to decorate the insides of my cards, this time I didn’t deco too much. I used a Bigz die from Stampin’ Up! called Top Note, #113463 this makes a great place to write and or stamp your sentiments, if your card base is not white or light enough.

I used a Unity stamp sentiment here.

Hope to see what you come up with for the color challenge.
