LOC’s challenge #143 Bubbles with Ching-Chou Kuik

Good evening Friends,

I’m here to share with you my weekly challenge project for LOC- Left of Center Creative Challenges.

I am a DT for LOC and this week our sponsor is “Ching-Chou Kuik.”

logo ccThe images was provided by Ching-Chou Kuik.

For my DT project I created an art journal page:

bubbles-8-16

I was provided with this digi called “Exotic Ocean Fantasy” (Follow the link to get yours.)

I colored the image with Copics Sketch markers. I used the white Copic paint for the white dots.

For the back ground of the image I combined Dylusions spray inks in “White Linen,”  “Vibrant Turquoise,” and Ranger’s Perfect Pearls Mists in “Mint” on a craft mat then painted it on. Backed the image w/ card stock from stash.

For the back ground of the journal book I sprayed my craft mat with “Vibrant Turquoise,” and Ranger’s Perfect Pearls Mists in “Mint” and with a fan brush I painted it on.

The bubbles were created with a stencil I cut myself and Tsukineko’s Brilliance in “Moonlight White.” Looks like this:

Tsukineko Brilliance Dew Drops: Moonlight White

The sentiment is from Dylusions. I stamped it, colored it with Light Yellow by Copics, then cut it out. After I glued it on I went over the letters and the block with a Black Copic.

Thank you for stopping by, I would love to know what you think.

LOC Challenge #139 Skulls with Limited Runs

Good morning,

Time for a new challenge at Left of Center Creative Challenges AKA LOC. The theme this week is “Skulls” and our sponsor is “Limited Runs.”

Because I am Rebel I did not use an image from this instead I did my own thing and used a coloring page by Dyan Reaveley dylusions. I bought this at Stamp Fest in Lakland June 2016. Dyan Reavely was there doing demos. It was really fantastic.

I did keep with the “Skull” theme:

ch139-skulls

I did use a dylusions stencil and dylusions black paint.

Thanks for stopping by and Thank you for your comments. Stay Crafty my Friends!

New challenge at LOC Challenge #131 Stars with Karleigh Sue and Sassy Studio

Good morning,

I would like to share my DT project with you. This week at “LOC- Left of Center Creative Challenges” our challenge theme is to use “Stars.” Our sponsors this week is “Karleigh Sue Digis” and “Sassy Studio Designs.”

loc1                 loc2

I have used a Digital Stamp from “Sassy Studio Designs,” called “Space Princess Honey.”  (Follow the link to get yours.)

space princess honey postable

I created a hanger to let someone special know that they are a “Star!!”

Stars-challenge

I colored my digi stamp “Space Princess Honey,” with Copics. I used a circle die cut to draw in the Moon. I just free handed the plant she is sitting on. It’s just some random plant in a Galaxy far far away!

Over at “Kit and Clowder” this is the background technique being taught for this month’s “Create and Learn” class by Alyce Keegan.

All the card stock ant the ribbon is from SU. The rubber stamps (Starts and sentiment) are from Fun Stampers Journey.

This digi stamp was printed out on “X-Press It Blending Card.”

paper

Here is a closer view of the Digital stamp:

Stars-challenge-close-up

My grand-daughter is here visiting me for a bit, and her name Leia. So when we are out in town, people ask her what her name is and she says “Leia,” they reply with “Like Princess Leia for Star Wars.” Since she is only 4 she has no idea what this means, so the look on face is precious. (She was not named after Star Wars however.)

So my Princess Leia wanted to color with me, so I printed her out this same digi onto regular copy paper and she used Prismacolor pencils to color:

pl

I used the same Fun Stampers Journey circle die to make her moon, and at first she wanted a “Field,” so that is what I drew in. Then later she said that her image is sitting on water.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my post. Please leave a comment.

Don’t forget to link up your project at LOC for a chance to win some digi stamps from our 2 sponsors.

Challenge# 128 The Goblyn Workshop – Mixed Media

Good morning,

I have a Mixed Media canvas project to share with you all today. Over at the challenge blog “LOC – Left of Center Creative Challenges,” we have the sponsor “The Goblyn Workshop.

This week’s theme is: “Mixed-Media”

We at LOC do not mind who’s products or images you use, just nothing to overly done with flowers!

Here is what I created for this week:

MM-challenge.jpg

The girl is a rubber stamp from Julie Nutting doll. I colored her hair, skin, and bolder hat with Copics, the rest was paper-pieced. I sprayed some white dylusions spray on the skirt.  I used some tiny half pearls for a necklace.

The bolder hat is a rubber stamp from Tim Holtz, from the accessories for the “Crazy Cats and Birds.” All of my metal pieces, the bird, the heart, the cogs, skull, key holes, ect… That is all from Tim Holtz. I used some Fun Stampers Journey molding paste, and a stencil from “Stencil Girl,” to create my background.

Afterwards, I sprayed it with “dylusions” sprays. Then I added some “Rubz” to the background and the metal pieces.

The red thingy next to the doll, is my idea of a bouquet.

Thank you for taking a look, I would love some comments, let me know what you think.

Dont forget to link up your “Mixed-Media” project at: http://leftofcenterchallenges.blogspot.com/

After you have linked up share your art work with us (LOC) and others on our Facebook page, Click Me!

Also take a look at “The Goblyn Workshop,” and pick out your images for if/when you win the challenge. All winners are voted on by the DTs, we do not use that Mr. Random thingy.

Stay Crafty my Friends!

Peace,

KristyLee (LOC DT)

Challenge #115 Anything Goes with Fun Stampers Journey

Hello paper crafters,

I am personally sponsoring our Left of Center Creative Challenges, challenge blog this week. It’s not running for a whole week like they usually do. It was posted late so you only have 3 days to link up but good news, you might win an actual stamp from me.

Here is a photo of the stamp the winner will receive.

Prize-LOC

This is a deeply etched red rubber stamp.

My card is not creepy or out of social norm, just made an easy going Valentine’s Day card. If you cant handle the normalcy of it, you can just by pass this post from “Dont be a Prude.” So here goes.

ch115-fsj.jpg

I have used the Fun Stampers Journey stamp set called “Cupid” item# AT-0037 $7.95.

I black embossed the cupid onto “Bubble Gum” card stock item# CS-0112, then added “Bubble Gum Silk” item# IP-0092. By the way, if you follow the link for the Bubble Gum Silk, it is not as dark as it looks online. It is however as it looks on my card stock in the photo. It’s that splashed look I used it on the corner piece and on the paper behind the heart. I distressed the edges of the corner paper with “Bubble Gum” ink, item# IP-0058.

To make the piercing on the heart I used a needle and spent about an hour…..

No way just kidding, who has time for that? Not me I did it the easy way and used our “Heart-Felt Bundle” die set, item# BD-0072. It come with several sized hearts and nesting piercing heart dies. We many  other styles of nesting piercing dies.

I used some of our Patterned Card Stock. Our patterned paper is CS weight and double sided. It’s considered Premium quality! And I agree!

I stamped our “Oatmeal Cookie” card stock item# CS-0023, with “Oatmeal Cookie” ink item# IP-0011; then popped the top layer up on pop dots. I used the stamp set called “Brush Strokes” item# SS-0205.

Topped things of with:

Journey Twine in “Black Licorice” item# AC-0004.

Journey Sequins- “Pink World” item# AC-0112.

Candy Apple ink item# IP-0017.

Gold Silk item# IP-0096.

So there ya have it! Want a chance then link up ANY craft project to: http://leftofcenterchallenges.blogspot.com/

Then stop by our Facebook group CLICK ME!

I too have a Facebook group, it’s interactive CLICK ME!
