Good morning, today is the August Member’s blog hop sponsored by Smeared and Smudged! The theme is POE-ETIC! Since we’re celebrating the great Edgar Allan Poe this month, they thought it would be awesome for the members to create something using one of his poems! It can be a canvas, a card, a scrapbook page, an altered item, an art journal page, etc. Use your imaginations. And not forgetting the S&S rule that it has to be stamped somewhere.
I have used the rubber stamp set “Quoth the Raven” by Smeared Ink. Now in digital form.
I first painted white card stock with red and black acrylic craft paint. Then I stamped the “Grate” and “Chain Link” stamp with black Stazon. The Heart and the NEVERMORE was stamped on SU’s Velum. I used black Stazon and glitter red embossing powder. “Poe” was stamped in brown Memento ink, colored with 2 different Copic markers then aged with Colorbox’s chestnut brown. The Ravens were stamped in black Stazon, then I painted them with watercolor Pearlessance. The silver embossed crown is from the {ippity} stamp set “Regal Greetings.” I used an MS drippy goo boarder punch for my drippy blood toppings. I applied Aleen’s Collage Podge to all pages to seal them. Then added some charms and beads. If you look closely you can see many different types of charms and beads too. After I made my pages I then bound them together to make a “Matchbook” with them. This is a gift for someone. I hope she likes it.
I went with the poem The Raven!
I hope you enjoyed your visit today!
