Grimm fairy tales… 3 Billy Goats Gruff, with Ike’s Art! at PPP!

Good morning, I have some Grimm inspiration to share with you today!

This month’s challenge at Poisoned Peas Please challenge blog is all about Dark Fairy Tales. You have until September 8th to enter. Our wonderful and talented sponsor is “Ike’s Art” she has provided all of PPP’s DTs with some great digi images. I have used her “Troll” and “Castle” image. (Follow the link  to get yours.)

One lucky Random winner will receive a $10.00 gift certificate to go shopping in her store.

I made a journal page for my inspiration. I used a watercolor book. I first painted the back ground with craft paint. The bridge, ABC blocks, and the 3 Billy goats I retrieved from the internet. The baby doll, and baby doll heads is a collage piece I got from Alpha Stamps. I colored my images with Prismacolor pencils and baby oil (As a blender) and I also used Copic markers. I printed some of the words from the Three Billy Goats Gruff story on to Velum paper, cut it up, and distressed it with ColorBox’s ink in Chestnut. I did the same type of distressing to my images as well. I was going for the old timey kid’s toy look. The reason I put the toys near the Troll, is because I figured that Troll’s would have Junk sitting around them under the bridge. In the story the Troll’s eyes are described as “Big as saucers” so I wanted to make them big and of course scary, so I used some half pearls. I think I had a bit too much fun with my project. I hope you like it!

I am looking forward to seeing your Dark art at PPP! And once you upload your card or project visit us at PPP on The Crafter’s Cafe‘ to upload your project and share with even more like minded crafters. See you there!

Thank you for your visit, and Thank you for your comments!

Peace,

KristyLee
