Smeared and Smudge’s November Member’s Blog Hop!

Good morning friends today is Smeared and Smudge’s November Member’s Blog Hop!

The theme this month is to Alter something NO cards! Plus it must have a stamp on it digis or rubber!

Today my offering is a picture or card holder. It started off just plain on all sides ready to be dressed up:

I have use the rubber stamp set from Smeared Ink called “Quoth the Raven” and I also have added some stamps from Stampin’ Up, plus a few rub-ons from SU.

I scanned a book of Poe’s stories printed that out and used it as my base. (I of course could not use my real book’s pages, that would be sacrilegious!) I distressed it, trying to give it an old feel. Then I Mod Podged the whole thing. This is great for holding pictures of my Grand-daughter or cards from friends.

Wanna see something else????

I made this for a friend to hold Tags that I made.

This is the front of the holder

The Dragon is on a cloud not snow if your wondering. I have used Stickles. The flame from the Dragon’s mouth is Tulip Puffy paint. On the front of the container I used 2 different size tag punches from SU then with small rubber letters stamped “Tags.” On the back I added a Sun/Moon polymer clay piece. The rhinestones are from Micheal’s. The Dragon is a rubber stamp, and on the block it says “Stamps Happen, Inc.” The Dragon was colored with Prismacolor pencils.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit today! I have a full blog roll on my side bar!

Next on the list is Susan S. one of the sweetest Ladies you will ever meet!!

Happy hopping, and stay crafty!

Peace,

Two great projects Kristy. Love how you altered that block into something very “poe-ish”…thanks for sharing how you achieved the look…it has so much dimension! The tag jar is also stunning…love the smoke coming from the dragon! Great idea to use the Tulip paint…I will have to remember that. If it is not on my desk when I sit down to craft I forget to use the things in my cupboards…Your friend is going to love her gift!
