Good morning Friends,
I am here with a card to share with you, I am hosting March’s month long challenge on Facebook for Smeared Ink. One winner picked by ME, will win $15 to the Smeared Ink digi store! How cool is that!! My theme for this month is “Monochromatic Green” here is my sample:
I have used 2 stamps from Smeared Ink. One is “It’s About Time Pocketwatch” I printed it a bit large, colored it in with Copics. Then used a SU punch 1 1/4 inch for the squares. Sponged the edges with Tim Holtz’s distress ink in “Peeled Paint.” I backed each square on to black card stock then use a distressing tool on all 4 edges. I have also used “Bot Bot.”
The clock in the center is plastic I added it using SU glue dots. (IDK who it’s from.) The chain I bough at Micheal’s and cut it to fit. The green glitter brad is from Stampin’ Up! The metal “Time” is from Tim Holtz. I added a jump ring to the metal piece attached it to the chain, then at the top of the chain I added another jump ring so the brad prongs could go through it, so I could hang it. Once I assembled my accent. I got a disposable plastic cup and poured TH’s Green Adirondack Alcohol Inks in the cup and dropped my accent piece in it, swirled it around to get a good coating, because I wanted it green. To make my “Time” hang the way I wanted it to I added a glue dot underneath it.
For the inside of my card I used a die cut from Stampin’ Up! called “Top Note.” I then sponged the edges with Tim Holtz’s distress ink in “Peeled Paint.” I also used the same ink to stamp the lines to write on. I added 2 squares that I used a SU corner punch on.
I hope you like my sample card for this month’s challenge on Facebook! I hope that link works for you If not then go to the Smeared and Smudge Facebook page and click on “Events!” Don’t forget the prize is $15 to the Smeared Ink digi store!
